Mex Quest Planned Trips

In partnership with LSS, Mex Quest Int, is the part of the ministry that provides completely planned mission trips for you group. Groups are housed here at LSS, but all your ministry venues and activities are setup and planned according to your preferences within the ministries that are available to us. There are many opportunities for your group to use their talents to spread the Good News of the gospel to a very needy people on both sides of the Frontera.

Trips can be set up on the US side only, the Mexico side, or both, depending on what you’re looking for. A sample of some of the venues that can be included and are a huge blessing to our ministry partners are:

  • Construction Projects
  • Work day at LSS or other ministries
  • Food distribution ministry
  • Agua de Vida (water bottle/tract ministry at the walking bridge
  • VBS/Kid’s Club at national churches
  • Sports camps

LSS provides a variety of services that fit your missions’ budget that includes accommodations, food, and missions venue planning and outreach.

The construction part of the ministry is based on helping those in the Laredo communities in need of construction projects who either do not have the funds, the manpower, or both. We concentrate on smaller local churches, their members who are in need, or those in our community who are sick, elderly, or veterans in partnership with Volunteers Serving the Need. Again, this is all with the vision focus of spreading the gospel or enabling others to do so.

Projects range from simple painting and yard work projects to roof repair and building extensions. What will be available for your team depends on a number of variables such as the overall construction experience of the group and funds available for the project. No matter what the project has been, we have taken the mandate of the Lord to take care of the poor, widowed, and fatherless seriously (James 1:27, 2:14 – 17; Isaiah 1:17; Psalm 82:3 – 4). Over the years, it has been such a blessing to not only see a structure that was broken restored, but to see a life restored – in many cases, eternally! As with all the other ministries, a favorite part is watching God not only transform those who are being ministered to, but the group members who came to minister as well as they experience Him use them to change lives.

This can be used as a stand-alone missions trip or be added as a project of a Mex Quest planned mission trip. We also have building projects that need to be completed here at Stepping Stone as well.

If God should place a trip like this on your heart, please contact us so we can help you plan a short-term trip that will not only make an eternal difference the lives of those you are coming to minister to, but also impact the lives of those who come. We pray that this experience will develop into a life-long love for and support of missions and possibly translate into some choosing to go into the mission field.

Matthew 9:36 – 38 Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. “Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
